Okay, so this isn’t food related, but it is Forrest and Brooklyn related.
Mitch emailed this morning to say that my street was on the Times’ homepage. Since we live in a scrappy neighb, I thought maybe there’d been an accidented on the BQE or a shooting or something.
Nope. They are just lauding how beautiful my street is.
The article’s all about Bloomberg’s plans to beautify the city and some of the successes we’ve already seen. Carlton is the before/after illustration they use. Most exciting, the pictures were taken literally in front of our place, so this is the view of Manhattan we see each day. The “after” shot is above — click-thru for the before.
